This week’s photo of the week for me is more of a photo essay. Lackareigh National School is just couple of miles from my home place of Munigave, Coppeen. For a place where there was so much activity back in the day, its hard to believe such a small building in its present state was the focal point of the locality for education, Macra and other social activities. These photos stir up lots of feelings for people who know the building as it once was. Old school books, cornflakes boxes and chalkboards are all as if they were just left there in a hurry. The green mould on the walls, and the decaying wood leave colourful patterns as if the building were bleeding.
